My name is Elly Ogram, I am an artist living on the traditional land of the Wardandi people in the South west corner of Western Australia.

I have loved art and anything creative ever since I can remember, I learnt to draw by drawing pictures on the shower screen when it was foggy. I loved that I could practice and then erase it and start again once it got foggy again. I would do this every day focusing on one thing at a time - eyes were and always have been my favourite thing to draw.

I have always found that I will do more art when any of my “day jobs” weren’t creatively inspiring. Sitting at a computer all day, I would be bursting for something more when I got home so I would find anything to channel my creative side in to as a way to cope and have a balance in my life.

A few years ago I started painting baby name pictures and selling them which I loved because each piece was so personal and held such meaning to the person receiving it and that is what really got me into more and more art.

I am a mother of two beautiful kids who inspire me in such different ways and a wife to a wonderful husband who I’ve been with since we were teenagers.

I find my inspiration in nature, the women that surround me and through the eyes of my two beautiful kids. My art celebrates the beautiful place where I call home and the coastal lifestyle of the area surrounding.
